Design Direction
This setup was designed from a cake topper the client had already purchased, along with a dinosaur standee from our existing inventory.
From there, we pulled in soft greens, neutrals and muted tones to create something that felt playful, but still visually calm.
The goal was to keep the theme recognisable, without it feeling loud or overdone.
The backdrop created a clean focal point for photos, holding just enough detail to bring the theme to life without overwhelming the space.
By keeping everything centred here, the rest of the setup could stay simple and easy to move around.
Soft Play Area
Alongside the styling, a soft play area was included to give younger guests their own space to play.
This featured a ball pit and rollercoaster, two of the most requested pieces for first birthdays.
It’s a simple combination, but it consistently keeps little ones engaged without needing constant attention.
High Chair
Our packages typically include a cake plinth as standard.
For this setup, the client chose to swap this for a high chair, which is one of the most popular options for first birthdays.
It allows the cake moment to feel part of the setup, rather than something separate.
This is the kind of setup most families choose when they want something that feels styled, without going into a larger, full-scale installation.
